Careful restoration of a collectors item.
One of our regular customers and a keen collector of vintage dodgems bought this lovely 1950’ example to us for some repairs and paintwork. He provided us with a photograph of potential colours and how he would like the finished dodgem to look.
After selecting the paint colours, Shaun set to work on the repairs which included some cracks in the metal needing welding. Repairs completed, the dodgem was smoothed, prepped and ready for paint.
Prepped and masked, several coats of paint and lacquer later followed by some flatting and polishing then saw this dodgem and its pole revived to its original glory.
